My goal is to help make libraries more effective through the better and more imaginative use of technology. I set up my consulting business in 2007 aftre working for over 20 years in the library tech business. My consulting activities include help with strategy, business models and value propositions, innovation and improving the user experience. I also undertake reviews/audits library IT infrastructure and systems, and the procurement of new and replacement systems. My work encompasses resource management and discovery, ebooks, open and linked data, repositories, archives and research data management. In addition he provides market intelligence and horizon scanning services for and about the information and library technology sector. Clients include businesses, individual libraries in all sectors as well as national sector bodies
